We had an amazing Christmas and thank you to everyone who made this Christmas so special for Conor. This was the first Christmas that he really caught on to the spirit and the family gatherings. Something special about the twinkle in a little one's eyes during the holidays. Sharing some pictures/video of our fun-filled few days.

...and thank you Bill and Dor

Thanks so much for The Popcorn Factory tin. We (Candy) have already put a healthy dent in the carmel side. We love you!

Dunback Dance Party

Donkey kicks, need I say more?

Sweet Face....

Just wanted to share this picture. It is my favorite pic lately of my fair-skinned protege.

Conor getting ready for Caden's arrival

The three of us spent an early Saturday morning at the hospital to help get Conor used to the idea of having a brother and his mommy being in the hospital for a few days. He learned (and loved) how to change diapers and he got to play with the cool beds that go up and down. That will be oh-so-fun for mommy post c-section. Yikes.

Snow in Uuuuuudora!

We don't get home until after dark, so check out this snow pic in the dark! There was enough snow that Conor and Chris were able to go out and play in the yard. Chris was the guinea pig going down the slide in the backyard with the saucer sled. Glad to report that Chris and the slide are still in one piece. Unfortunately we do not have any pictures to prove he did such things. Candy got home after the 2 boys were outside long enough to want to come in, so she got to make hot chocolate for her two favorite ice cubes. Conor wore most of his hot (warm) chocolate because of a poor attempt to eat the marshmallows before he got to the bottom of the cup.

Fun under the tree

Weekend at the Zoo

Here we go.......poor cyberspace just inherited more Dunbacks. We officially started a blog as well. I find it difficult to check even my facebook account more than once a month so this blog may qualify as the slowest blog of all time in regards to updates. Let's roll with it!

Last night we decided to brave a nice dinner at Paisano's, the restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner. Wonderful food, peaceful ambience, quiet social place. We were accompanied by a couple of friends and their 2 small girls. Behind us was a group of 10 or so high school kids dressed in formals, some sort of dance. The first 5 minutes was amazing. The kids were quiet as they guaged personalities. The sixth minute was a turning point. Conor stood straight up in his chair and announced to the world that "we have a roto rooter." Never mind how we got the roto rooter.... it was still announced just the same. That stage appearance was quickly followed by him yelling at the high school kids... "birth control!" Stares. Have to admit it was a tad funny though. After we inhaled our food, we bolted. Bolted for the privacy of our friends' home. Perfect for letting the kids roam and do as kids do. Our restaurant life may be over.

Fast forward to this afternoon. We went to the local recreation center so Conor could practice his mad 3-year-old dribbling skills on the basketball court. After 47 seconds of dribbling the three of us (Chris, Candy, Conor) digressed to playing duck-duck-goose. Mind you I am 30 weeks pregnant. Why was I picked nearly every time? Maybe because it was a slightly funny sight to see me rolling to the side, pushing my body up with my arms, knocking the wind out of myself, knees pointing east and west so my thighs didn't squish poor Caden and attempting to run in a 2-foot diameter circle and throw (gently) myself to the ground, always last. Sounds fun I know. Just thankful I didn't give birth at the excitement of Conor popping me on the head, squeaking "GOOSE!"

Even though our weekends have changed drastically from our pre-child days we would never trade a moment. Words cannot express the feeling of your child nestled under your chin or getting a sloppy wet smooch. Your mind can't help but wonder what his little eyes will see and how he will see it. Only time will tell, but in the meantime... time to make spaghetti and take a bath filled with Spiderman and Incredible Hulk conversation. Love it!
